Issue 28 (Mar/Apr 2010) Spring Issue

Welcome friends to issue #28
Enough with the snow already! I enjoy an occasional snowbound weekend with my bead stash and old movies but after back to back to back 12" plus snowstorms cabin fever is looming large! Lucky for me this issue contains lots of spring time projects. Ronit Florence shares TWO fabulous flower peyote cuff designs: Easter Lilies and Daffodils. Marilyn Peters has a really fun twist on the spiral stitch in spring time colors. Daughter Michelle tries her hand at macrame with stunning results. Sandra D. Halpenny offers a bracelet with 3 different design options! Herringbone never looked so good, Barb Nichols dresses up a beaded band with a ruffled Rivoli centerpiece. Speaking of ruffles how about stitching up some ruffled links to complement a new art bead with Linda Gettings. Set a beautiful table with blooming tea lights from Sharon Boehme. I feel better already!    Deb Moffett-Hall - Editor

Kumihimo Braiding Plate

Kumihimo Braiding Plate
from The Bead Smith

This unusual Square shaped braiding plate caught my eye the other day so of course I had to get one. The instructions were very good and I was able to make a nice flat multi-strand braid on my first try. I'm going to experiment by adding beads...If you get one show me what you make!
