An abalone cabochon is the focal piece of this ocean inspired necklace, but you could just as easily use a blister pearl, stone, or porcelain cab.
This is a fun design as it covers a variety of different techniques:
- surround a cabochon with beads using peyote stitch
- several bead embroidery techniques so you can fill your tidepool with assorted shells and pearls, create coral, sand, and seaweed
- finishing techniques to back the cabochon
- spiral rope chain necklace
