12 Dancing Princesses and The Red Shoes Evening Bag with Shoe St
[00006473]

This evening bag was the largest piece in Beadtime Stories. I have redesigned it slightly and trimmed down the number of colors needed somewhat. One side depicts the 12 Dancing Princesses who wore out their slippers every night dancing with princes in an underground ballroom. These girls are so ready to boogy I think of them as the 12 Salsa Dancing Princesses. On the other side, the Red Shoes symbolizes another fairy tale, while the border at top and bottom has all 12 colors of dance shoes the princesses wore out every night. This pattern is only for the front and back of the bag and the strap. No evening bag assembly instructions are included. I had a friend make me a little silk liner with a zipper at the top for the inside of my bag. Just the thing to take--er--dancing. This bag was woven in tubular peyote (The pieces are side by side rather than top and bottom as shown) around a Morton's Salt Box. The strap shows one repeat of the 12 pairs of dance slippers.
