Herdan is a traditional slavonian adornment made of two ribbons joined together with a pendant or one long ribbon which both ends are joined together into a pendant.
This one has an ornament inspired by XIX century embroidery. Floral motives on a faded-coloured background. To make flowers detailed I chose the 15th size of toho beads, so inspite of the fact that there are 80 beads in the pendant rows, the width of the pendant is only 10 cm.
The pattern includes a photo of the pendant, suggested Toho palette for 35 colours (and there are a few similar numbers of toho beads for some bead colours in the palette, so you can choose toho colours you like more.
The colours I used for the herdan are bold-fonted in the palette) and 9 graphs. The bead colours are numbered in every bead of the pattern except the background beads. The rows are numbered. The repeatable area of the ribbons is shown, and the pattern includes a special 3 graphs for making a bracelet with the same ornament the ribbons represent.
The ribbons ornament is also suitable for a belt, a hatband or a bookmark.
