Doxocopa laurentia, common name Turquoise Emperor or Cherubina Emperor is found in Mexico, Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Peru.
Its wingspan is about 75 mm.

To weave this butterfly we’ll need fireline, a beading needle size 11-15 and 12 colours of beads (two toho palettes are given: a metal-lined beads palette and an opaque beads palette). The pattern includes a photo of two finished butterflies (the one made of metal-lined beads and the opaque one)and 2 graphs of weaving of the insect. The thread way is shown.
Such butterfly can be used as a pendant, or a brooch, a hairslide, an earring. The butterfly is quickly and easily woven. It'll take you about an hour or a bit more to be completed.
