850-7 The Wing Weavers

When the Winged Wee Folk of the Wee Village and surrounding areas flew into briars, lost a feather or their wings faded from playing in the moonlight too long, they couldn't really fix things until the Pixies appeared! They quickly hired spiders to create wonderful webs for them that could be dyed and used as thread not only to mend wings and feathers but to weave entirely new ones! The Pixies quickly adapted some of the 'shrooms and other plants in the Wee Village vicinity to provide them with very intense primary color dyes and even a few that produced spotted and striped dye while ordinary butterfly weed was adapted to produce flutter, dragon, dragon fly and fairy wings in assorted shapes and sizes that could be picked at the proper size, then dyed and painted to suit their customers fancy.
This is a delightful design that will allow quilters to really dip into their 'embellishment stash'! Spider webs may be created with thread or real netting while bushes may sprout an entire forest of wing shapes and feathers. Even the fabrics may change around so that fairies (or other winged folk) have a choice of strips, dots, flowers or more designs for their wings!
